Review: Jesus Saves – The Gospel for Toddlers by Sarah Reju
Ideas in this book include:
God made you, loves you, and sees you. God is your king but you want to be king and you sin. You need to be saved. God sent Jesus who obeyed and died to save you. Jesus is alive and invites you to say yes to him and no to sin. He gives life. In the parents’ section: “What is The Gospel?”, “What Can You Do To Help Your Little One Understand The Gospel?”, “What Can Only God Do?” and “Bible Verses To Remember.”
What’s commendable is:
The clarity, the lyrical, rhyming style, the verse references on nearly every page, the parents' section in the back, the age-appropriate message, the artwork, the size of the pages, and quality of the board material- just the right thickness.
What could be better is:
The cover looks a tiny bit girly I think.
The number of pages with text is: 15/17
The number of sentences per page is about: 4.5
The number of words per sentence is about: 3
The writing style is: It is child-like, Q &A, sing-songy, and rhyming with a lot of ?’s and !’s.
